SEF Extended

Description

The SEF Extended plugin extends the functionality of the standard System - SEF plugin without replacing it. The standard plugin must remain enabled.

• Canonical
  Generation and adjustment of Canonical URLs through the Joomla router, management of GET parameters, and exclusions for components and page types.
• Redirects
  301 URL normalization:
  • selection of the www variant,
  • redirection from the .html suffix when Joomla suffixes are disabled,
  • correction of multiple slashes.
• 404 Page
  Displays the content of the selected menu item for a non-existent URL without changing the address in the browser and while preserving the HTTP 404 status. On multilingual sites, language associations of the selected menu item are used; if no suitable association exists, Joomla displays the standard error page. When switching languages, the original non-existent path is preserved and only the language prefix is changed.

  The settings on this tab are directly linked to the parameters of the standard System - SEF plugin. They are saved in the standard plugin and are not duplicated in SEF Extended.
